Training on international data management standards with our SCTO Platforms experts

March 2024 Tools & Resources

On 4 and 5 March 2024, 38 members of the SCTO Data Management Platform met in Bern and online to attend a training on the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC). CDISC is a global non-profit organisation that has established standards to support the collection, exchange, submission and archiving of clinical research data and metadata. The consortium provides standards for the entire clinical research process, from initial planning to data collection, study data organisation and analysis.

Apart from the initial introduction to CDISC, an expert delivered a training on the Clinical Data Acquisition Standards Harmonisation (CDASH), offering a standardised approach for consistent data collection across various trials and sponsors.

The SCTO Data Management Platform is actively engaged in incorporating CDISC standards within the SCTO CTU network, aiming to harmonise processes and ensure alignment with international standards.

The training was a complete success and much appreciated by the participants.
